First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion & Confirmation As Catholics, our lives are centered around the seven sacraments. In particular, the young people in the Faith Formation program are prepared to receive and continually practice Reconciliation and Holy Communion. The child's formal formation then culminates with the reception of the fullness of Christian Initiation through the sacrament of Confirmation. These are life-giving sacraments, that are meant to enhance the lives of those receiving it. With this in mind, we in the Faith Formation program attempt to make it a vibrant and engaging experience and one that will draw the child or young adult closer to Christ. ALL STUDENTS wishing to prepare for and receive these sacraments must attend formal classes here at the parish regardless of attendance in a parochial school. This means that children in Grades 2, 8 & 9 need to be registered here at the parish for classes. The Confirmation Program, due to the guidelines of the Diocese of Fall River, is a two-year program, which we conduct during the child's 8th and 9th grade years. If you need to register your child for these classes, please contact the Director, Gregory Bettencourt, at 508-822-1425 or via E-Mail First Reconciliation Final Practice: Wednesday, January 20th @ 6:00 pm in church Celebration of Reconciliation: Saturday, January 23rd @ 10:00am in church First Holy Communion GROUP A Final Practice: Wednesday, April 28th @ 6:00 pm in church First Communion Mass: Saturday, May 2nd @ 10:00 am in church GROUP B Final Practice: Wednesday, May 5th @ 6:00 pm in church First Communion Mass: Saturday, May 8th @ 10:00 am in church ** Groups for First Communion are determined by which session your child normally attends classes during the year.
